Angela has called the Central Coast home for the past 10 years. She is an international opera singer, vocal teacher for Coast Opera Australia’s Emerging Artists Program, conductor, concert producer and a mother. After 20 years working as a professional operatic artist traveling the world, she can account for over 200 professional productions and concerts in Europe, China, Sydney Opera House and Melbourne State Theatre.

Angela regularly sings and speaks on ABC Radio and has sung for Sean Connery, Cate Blanchett and Dame Joan Sutherland. Angela is an advocate for world class operatic events on the Central Coast that introduce internationally acclaimed and emerging artists. Angela’s emerging artists in training have received awards and grants from all over Australia and Europe, and are also being accepted into highly competitive university courses such as WAAPA (Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts), and Opera Summer School Programs in Europe.

Phil Donnelly OAM


Phil Donnelly has been President of the Bouddi Society for twelve years. Now retired he was formerly a senior executive in the Australian public service where he was responsible for national program delivery.
He is the company secretary for a Sydney-based Aboriginal not-for-profit organisation delivering sporting, educational and health programs across Australia.

Phil Donnelly was born and raised in country New South Wales and has a degree in Economics. A former officer in the Australian Regular Army, he saw active service overseas.

Now retired, he was a senior executive in the Australian public service where he was responsible for national program delivery. Since retiring he has served on the executive of a number of not-for-profit Indigenous and cultural organisations.

In 2014 he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the Indigenous community through sporting and charitable initiatives.

Patrick Brislan M.A.

Patrick Brislan entered the music profession after studying the French horn at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Early in his career he was a principal horn in the Australian Youth Orchestra, and after his debut with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in 1955 under Sir Eugene Goossens he subsequently performed with all the major orchestras, including as guest principal horn with the West Australian, Adelaide and Melbourne Symphony Orchestras.

An academic career at the University of Adelaide followed, and during the 1980s he served for 4 years in the elective position of Director of the Elder Conservatorium of Music. As well as a researcher and administrator in music education in Australia he has also conducted masterclasses in the U.S., China and Korea, having previously advised the Malaysian Ministry of Culture, and the Commonwealth Government on performing arts policy. He holds an M.A. in Musicology from Flinders University.

In 1989 he was elected Associate Dean of Performing Arts at the University of Adelaide – a position he held until retirement in 2000. In recent years he has served as alumni co-ordinator for the Australian Youth Orchestra, and is a member of the National Council of AYO. Other activities include voluntary work as consultant in international music education involving schools in Korea, China and the U.S.

Monique is an experienced, MBA qualified, senior executive who has worked in the not for profit sector on the Central Coast for almost 30 years.

She has extensive experience leading and managing charities and not for profit organisations. She has built, managed and led strong values-driven workplaces across sectors including children’s services, aged care, volunteering and disability support in executive roles including General Manager, Executive Officer and CEO. Monique has a passion for good governance, collaborative leadership and connected teams, and has found that people thrive under these conditions.

Monique has extensive not for profit governance experience having been involved, since 2010, with a number of local and Sydney-based Boards as a Director, and in several instances as Chair or President. She is actively involved in the Rotary Club of Gosford City and has been President and Secretary and held a number of Director roles since 2017.

Having been successful in grant and tender writing, winning major business for a number of organisations including Community Options Australia and Adssi Limited, Monique now works with not for profit leaders and their teams to maximise grant funding opportunities.
